Young Adult Summer Reading Program

Who: Teens in grades 6 - 12
What: Get free stuff for reading books!
Where: Liliha Public Library
How: Read at least 1 book a week, come to the library to claim your free incentive and enter to win great prizes!*
Why: Because it’s fun and free!
*iPod Shuffle--The Friends of the Library of Hawaii will provide each library with an Apple iPod Shuffle to give away as a special in-branch drawing prize!!!
*Hawaii Pizza Hut Grand Prize Sweepstakes--This year's finale will again be held at Kahala Mall, and Hawaii Pizza Hut is offering an Apple iPad as the Grand Prize.
The Summer Reading Programs are generously sponsored through a grant from the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i, Marriott Resorts Hawaii, Ko Olina Resort & Marina, Meadow Gold Dairies, HMS Host, Hansen Distribution Group, ING Foundation, Armstrong Produce, Bowman Connectivity Solutions, Inc., Girard’s Dressing, Roberts Hawaii Tours, Toshiba Business Solutions, DFS Hawaii, NFL Charities, First Hawaiian Bank, Aloha United Way, and The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. Corporate sponsors include McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii, Hawaii Pizza Hut, Frito-Lay of Hawaii, Diamond Bakery Ltd., First Insurance Company of Hawaii, The Islander Group, Mutual Publishing, American Chemical Society, and local Chapter Friends.
Performances featuring artists from the Statewide Cultural Extension Program are co-sponsored by the University of Hawaii’s Outreach College, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
