Kealoha will perform a full slam poetry program that deals with social, personal, and cultural themes to give attendees a roller-coaster experience filled with laughter and drama. The program incorporates various elements within the slam poetry framework including storytelling, movement, hip-hop, and theatre. Slam poetry is a modern day form of performance poetry. It has succeeded where traditional methods have failed by making poetry accessible and relevant to students, and by giving them a voice to express their frustrations, identities, and dreams. Program is suitable for ages 12 and older.
