Well, maybe not everyone was at the opera on February 13th it see Barber of Seville by Rossini, but some of us were. Pictured is Jay, Ashley, Matt, Andrew (can't see him) and Almeson. Kaliya is not picutred but he was there too.
The opera was so funny. When the main man, the Barber of Seville, came riding out on a segway, the mood was set; we laughed for the next 3 hours.
This opera was much different from the first opera we went to see on January 30th, Don Carlo by Verdi. Don Carlo was dark and sad and I cried. Okay, I was probably the only one who did, but it gives you an idea of how wide a variety there is in the world of opera. Next week Wednesday the 27th we go see the final opera of the season, Romeo and Juliet by Gounod. At least we all know how this one ends.
Hope to see some of you next year. For $6 a ticket you can't bet it!
